I know we've talked a lot about this topic in classes, etc, but I'm going to bring it up again. I'll be presenting on a panel on 21st Century School libraries at NECC in San Antonio at the beginning of July. My portion of the presentation is on technology and reading.
I would LOVE to have some input from you guys, since at this point I don't know what I"m going to talk about. Here's what I have:
Session Title: Feed, Tag, Research: Remixing for School Library 2.5
Session Description School librarians are leading learning and instructional change. Discover how we are re-visioning reading, research, and "library" for 21st century students on the Read/Write Web.
My portion: New techologies for an old past-time: using 2.0 technology to promote pleasure reading (8 minutes)
I'm going to pull from Amy's and my presentation at ISLMA last year, which was well received. I'm presenting in some esteemed company- one panelist is from Austraila; the panel is being led by Joyce Valenza - so I want this to be really good! I'd love to hear any thoughts any of you have on the topic or on how to present. I definitely don't want to get up there with a boring old Power Point!
